SoundDampen.com is reader-supported. We keep our guides, reviews, and calculators free by earning commissions through affiliate partnerships. This page explains how that works, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and disclosures.
How affiliate links work
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer. This comes out of the retailer’s margin and never adds anything to the price you pay. You are free to ignore these links and buy from any source you choose.
Amazon Associates
SoundDampen.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Other partners
We also participate in affiliate programs with other sound-deadening brands and retailers, including Second Skin Audio. When we link to a specific product or deal from one of these partners, the same disclosure applies: we may earn a commission, and it never changes your price.
Our editorial promise
Affiliate relationships never determine our recommendations. We base our picks on product specifications, materials, real-world install experience, and value. When something is mediocre, we say so. The commissions help fund testing and content; they do not buy a favorable review.
